German Precision Optics RangeGuide Line
German Precision Optics (GPO), recently expanded its award-winning RangeGuide rangefinding binocular line with the introduction of a new 8×50. Ideal for those seeking less magnification, the 8×50 features exceptional edge-to-edge clarity as well as precise ranging on reflective targets out to nearly 1.75 miles.
Built on a 42” chassis, the 8×50 RangeGuide measures a mere 6.3 inches tall. Even with its small size, it performs big. It not only lives up to its 22.36 twilight factor; it actually can accurately range targets out to 3,062 yards with inclination/declination compensation, all while tipping the scales at only 35 ounces. Crafted with a magnesium frame, this rangefinder is extremely lightweight, yet boasts an internal rangefinding system unmatched in the industry.

The compact 8×50 RangeGuide features an eye-safe Class 1 laser for instant readings (0.35-second response time) with true-range angle technology that calculates the proper distance to the target after measuring the angle to the target. The fast scan mode provides three readings per second via its orange OLED display with nine adjustable brightness levels. The RangeGuide even measures ambient temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius to help with shot placement on long-range shots. The Class 1 laser will reliably range a tree at 1,093 yards and a deer out to 766 yards. The display provides both the line-of-sight distance as well as the user’s choice of adjusted distance, angle or temperature.
Coupled with the GPObright™ high-transmission lens coatings, the RangeGuide’s double-HD laminated 50mm objective lenses are exceptionally beneficial for transmitting light in the twilight hours. The lenses maximize the sharpness and the resolution of the optical image. The 8×50 offers a wider field of view at 345 feet at 1,000 yards, and more eye relief at 19mm than its higher magnification counterpart. Like the 10×50, this new model features diopter focus adjustments on both left and right sides and utilizes GPO’s premium cut-brass-geared focus-wheel system for a very tight, consistent turning radius without any free-play.
Due to its armor coating, the RangeGuide It is water- and weather-resistant, making it tough enough to endure the harshest of hunting environments.
“The versatility, compact size and precise optical functions make the 8×50 the ideal rangefinder for hunters looking for something with a lower magnification,” said Mike Jensen, GPO, USA’s owner and CEO.
MSRP: $1649.99
